Gaku, my husband is from Chiba on the East coast of Japan and whilst living with him in Japan I fell in love with Japanese textiles.

Monsoon Weave specialises in hand made Indian silk & cotton dressmaking fabric and upholstery fabric - stocking a range of classic crewel embroidered duck cloth at very affordable rates. I love these fabrics because the designs are classic and unique, but also because all of them have a handmade element such as hand block-printing or hand embroidery. There is such an amazing amount of skill and precision involved to create them, and I LOVE THIS about the fabric I supply!

I work with an online fabric shop called White Lodge Fabric. They sells dress fabrics only, specialising in fabrics for costumes, stage and dance wear. It's based in the UK, but they offer worldwide shipping and they are the suppliers for several costume makers and irish dancing dress makers based outside Europe.
